Let’s face it – none of you saw it coming. Don proposed to the secretary. (Sorry if that is a spoiler for you Netflixers still catching up, but c’mon, it aired in 2010.)
Of course, it was business as usual when their relationship started with sex on the corporate couch – yes, Don is a classy dude – but then things took a turn for the saccharine when Don and Megan went to Disneyland with his kids. She was there under the guise of a nanny, but turned out to be the ideal Mom, right down to teaching the kids cute French songs. So Don the bachelor fell – hard – and in a shocking finale twist popped the question.
Will they make it three episodes? Many will have noticed Betty Draper tiring of her new man, and we did catch a few longing glances at Don last season. Don’t rule her out. Also “Mad Men” is strong on surprises – and a train-wreck breakup isn’t out of the question.
So – who knows? We think three episodes could probably happen, but the whole season? Not a chance. “Mad Men” returns March 25! More "Mad Men" questions to come.
